Lord, this one is harder to pray, and maybe that’s exactly why it matters. For the adjusters, the opposing counsel, the insurance companies we negotiate against — soften what needs softening, and sharpen what needs sharpening in us so that we meet them with integrity instead of resentment. Let every negotiation, even the tense ones, be conducted with honesty on our end. Where there is delay or unfairness, give us patience instead of bitterness, and give them a change of heart. We are not praying against them — we are praying for a system, and a table, where truth and fairness actually win.
