A Prayer Over Rose Harper Law

There are days when the work in front of us — the files, the phone calls, the deadlines — is really just the surface of something deeper. Today, before opening another file, we chose to slow down and pray.

Behind every case is a person trying to rebuild. Behind every team member is someone who showed up today believing they could help carry that weight. So today, we pause — over our team, over the families we serve, over the people on the other side of the table, and over whoever needed to read this.

1For Our Team

Lord, thank You for our team at Rose Harper Law — everyone who makes this firm run. Thank You for the ones who answer the phone at the hardest moment of a stranger’s life and manage to sound like hope. Give them patience on the days the caseload feels endless. Give them wisdom in the details — the deadlines, the ledgers, the follow-up calls — because we know the details are where people either feel cared for or feel forgotten. Protect their peace. Let them go home tired from good work, not depleted by it. Remind each of them that what they do matters far beyond a file number.

“Let all that you do be done in love.”

1 Corinthians 16:14, paraphrased from the NIV

2For the Communities We Serve

Lord, You see the Lehigh Valley, Parsippany, Hawthorne, and every neighborhood in between where our clients live. You see the families who work two jobs, who speak Spanish at home and navigate English-only systems, who have been taught that justice is for people with more money or more connections than they have. Let our firm be a place that proves otherwise. Let no ganas, no pagas be more than a slogan — let it be a promise kept. Use us to close the gap between the vulnerable and the help they deserve.

“What doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?”

Micah 6:8

3For Our Clients

Lord, for every client walking through our doors right now — the ones in pain, the ones afraid, the ones who don’t know if they can trust a lawyer after being let down before — meet them there. Let them feel, from the very first phone call, that someone finally believes them. Give our team the right words in both languages, the right patience, the right honesty. Heal their bodies. Steady their finances. Restore what was taken, and give them back a sense of control over their own story.

“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”

Psalm 147:3, paraphrased from the NIV

4For Our Adversaries

Lord, this one is harder to pray, and maybe that’s exactly why it matters. For the adjusters, the opposing counsel, the insurance companies we negotiate against — soften what needs softening, and sharpen what needs sharpening in us so that we meet them with integrity instead of resentment. Let every negotiation, even the tense ones, be conducted with honesty on our end. Where there is delay or unfairness, give us patience instead of bitterness, and give them a change of heart. We are not praying against them — we are praying for a system, and a table, where truth and fairness actually win.

“If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.”

Romans 12:18

5For Whoever Is Reading This

If you found your way to this page today, I don’t think it was an accident. Maybe you’re a client waiting on a settlement and wondering if anyone still cares. Maybe you’re another attorney, tired, wondering if this work is worth the toll it takes. Maybe you’re someone who just needs to know that faith and hard work aren’t opposites. Whoever you are — I pray for you too. I pray you find whatever it is you came looking for. I pray you’re reminded that you are seen, that your situation is not the end of your story, and that you are not carrying it alone.

“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid, for the Lord your God goes with you wherever you go.”

Joshua 1:9, paraphrased from the NIV

A Closing Blessing

Over every person this touches — our team, our clients, our community, even the ones across the table from us — we hold onto the words of Psalm 23:

Psalm 23:1, 3–4, 6 (KJV)

“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want… He restoreth my soul… Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me… Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.”

Whatever valley brought you here, may you know you are being led, restored, and followed by goodness — not left to walk it alone.
